My New Responsibility

Renee is off to Canada (amidst many tears at having to leave Diana) and I chose to stay two extra weeks to be Diana's Primary Caregiver. Of course, Ruth will be here as well, but she is the Director of Operations here in Eldoret, so she already has a full -time job.

So since Sunday morning at 10, until Tuesday evening when Ruth returns from Nairobi, it is just the two of us. Not entirely true, as the Staff is here from 8 - 5 Mon-Fri. However, they also have jobs, but they love her and she loves them (particularly Christine, our Housekeeper - she will sit and watch Christine iron for hours...)

Of course, if you met Christine you would love her, too. Sweet, smiley, full of life, love and laughter.

Renee left me with two "jobs" to do with Diana.

1) Get her to drink out of her bottle by herself.

2) Improve her crawling.

Okay, now this may take a BIT more time... but we're working on it.

  1. She is just a doll--have fun!

  2. oh what a fun new responsibility! looks like a great task for you!

  3. fun fun fun
    cute cute cute!!!

  4. HAhaha--how are you going to get her to improve her crawling? Maybe if you demostrated a few of your own techniques... she might just get it.

  5. Wahoo! I love that you are getting to do this :)
