Tomorrow's the Day

Well, I AM going on my road trip, and I plan on blogging from the road.

I am armed with several books on CD.

Another is Joel Rosenberg's book called "Epicenter."

And I have the New Testament on CD, and a couple of novels.

I have also just started reading "He Loves Me" by Wayne Jacobson. It's good.

And I'm also reading "The Prodigal God" by Timothy Keller. So enlightening. His premise is that BOTH sons are prodigals - one through rebellion and one through self-righteousness, and that NEITHER knows the Father - they just want things from Him. And all the Father wants is to KNOW them in love relationship.

I have mapquested my journey, and have GPS on my phone, so hopefully I will not get lost...

I am renting a car - I think the extra money it costs will be a good decision in the long run of putting 4,000 miles on my own car. The rental is smaller, and therefore will get better gas mileage. Plus, new tires, etc.

First stop - Kansas City and the International House of Prayer. After many years of hearing about it, I am going to check it out in person.

I'm taking my camera, so hopefully I will have photos to show you on the way.

  2. I'll be thinking of you/praying for you on your road trip. I read a great book (novel) that I think you would LOVE and should try to pick up... It's called "Tender Grace" by Jackina Stark. Its about one woman's journey on a road trip.... I promise it really is good. Actually, if you email me an address where you'll be, I'll mail it to you so you can have it when you get there. If you want. :-) I'd love to do that. :-)
